Animal Friends

I'm frequently impressed by the beauty and friendship of animals. I get tired of having pets, but then I know that I don't do great without them. I've read pretty frequently that empaths need animals in their lives, because they are soothing. When they are well-behaved, I do enjoy having pets.

I've been living with animals for 39 years, and it still makes me stop in a moment of appreciation when we seem to communicate telepathically. I think about how there is so much more to our relationships than we understand. I started being even more amazed with animals after I realized that I received messages from animals who have passed on.

They would reach out for their owners to let them know they were okay. I would share those messages with their owners. Sometimes, I didn't even know the animal had passed until after I received the message. Since then, I have an even deeper appreciation for animals in my life.

I love it when I see, and feel, their body language and respond in the way they need. Animals really are very human-like in how annoying or sweet they can be. Animals can't tell me in words what they want and need, so I have to heighten my abilities to respond without being told to do so. I think interacting with animals makes me a more open-minded and sensitive person, too.
