Busy, Busy, Busy

I did not think life would become so busy once Aidan entered high school. You know, after your youngest turns 4, you're lulled into several years of life being a little bit easier than when they were toddlers. At four, the kids can entertain themselves, and you can take naps. At 4, they can grab the healthy snacks and the plates if they are kept on a lower shelf. They can use the potty, are pretty good about washing their hands, they can access their toys... you get the picture.

Once that 9th grade year hits, though--BAM! It is busy again! It's just like having to do everything for a toddler. In some ways, it's even more tiring than when they were babies. When they were babies, a lot of the busy-ness happened at home.

At this age, though, we spend all day at school events and there is never anywhere truly comfortable to sit. I tell you: I did not see this coming. Get ready, y'all.
