Loving Kindness Meditations

I discovered 'loving kindness' meditations about 10 years ago. They are especially useful when I'm angry, or hurt, by people and there is no solution for the situation.

I hear the saying, "To forgive is divine," and in my head, I want to easily forgive people, but in my entire being I burn with anger and pain when I feel that people have pushed me too far.

However, I've learned that being angry truly does do more harm to myself than the other person to whom I would direct hurtful thoughts towards.

I use many different 'loving kindness' meditations that I find on the internet. During times of unrest and upset, I listen to them frequently. I don't understand how it works so efficiently to calm my system, but it truly does help me release and move on.
