Rough-housing

Times: they are a-changin'. I used to have to say to my kids, "You have two parents!" when they would walk directly past their dad to ask me to do something for them. You know what I'm talking about. It doesn't matter if you're the mom or the dad; this goes for whichever parent is the primary caregiver.

Now, as my children's interaction needs are changing, and they want to play tough rather than cuddle, I still have to say, "You have two parents!" to my children, but it's in regard to rough-housing. Maybe it's because I'm always going to be more popular😉 or maybe it's because I'm the smaller of the two parents. I'm not sure what drives my children's minds right now. I just know that when they are feelin' frisky, it's me they are coming for!
